Fully Developed Lesson Plans with Embedded Video and STEAM Discussion Questions

Mystery Science provides open-and-go lessons that inspire kids to love science. Our aim is to reach children before they've lost their natural curiosity about the world, and to inspire them to develop a scientific understanding of it.

Searchable database of NSTA approved lessons

Classroom resources that are “fully aligned” to the NGSS should meet the rigorous criteria of the EQuIP rubric developed by Achieve and NSTA. Full alignment means that the resources are three-dimensional in nature, have coherence across lessons and units, provide a number of important instructional supports, and provide methods to monitor student progress. Work is currently underway to develop exemplar lessons and resources that meet this vision.

Being a good digital citizen is more than knowing your way around the web. It's about connecting and collaborating in ways you didn't even know were possible.

When you teach digital citizenship to your students, you help create a positive school culture that supports safe and responsible technology use. Our K–12 digital citizenship program includes comprehensive learning resources for students, teachers, and family members. Our 65 grade-differentiated lesson plans are based on the research of Dr. Howard Gardner and the Good Play Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The program addresses real challenges for teachers and students to help schools navigate cyberbullying, internet safety, and other digital dilemmas.

In 2002, The Public Education Foundation established a green initiative to bring much-needed resources to Clark County School District classrooms while also helping the environment. The Teacher EXCHANGE is a reuse/repurpose/surplus resource center available to all Southern Nevada public school teachers that also can help them save hundreds of dollars annually in out-of-pocket expense.

We were started by a history teacher. In 2000, Charles Best, a teacher at a Bronx public high school, wanted his students to read Little House on the Prairie. As he was making photocopies of the one book he could procure, Charles thought about all the money he and his colleagues were spending on books, art supplies, and other materials. And he figured there were people out there who'd want to help — if they could see where their money was going. Charles sketched out a website where teachers could post classroom project requests, and donors could choose the ones they wanted to support. His colleagues posted the first 11 requests. Then it spread. Today, we're open to every public school in America. (https://www.donorschoose.org/)
